Inspiring and Developing Leaders

For 10 years, L.E.A.D. Nation has been developing youth to become leaders in our community. Serving middle and high school students, 99% of the youth who have participated in our programs have graduated high school and many have gone on to college.

Through our program initiatives, we have merged local and national leaders, businesses and service organizations together to make a great impact on our youth.

STEPS

“Studies show that students who have mentors make better grades, attend college in greater numbers, have less teenage pregnancies and are less susceptible to negative peer pressure choices,” says Adrian D. Freeman, MBA, Executive Director of L.E.A.D. Nation.

S.T.E.P.S. is our monthly mentoring initiative that serves parents and youth in Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties on the last Saturday of each month. This program is housed on the campus of our longtime partner Broward College. Our monthly engagement sessions are high energy and follow a curriculum developed for student success. Students attend a series of workshops focused on STEM Education, Financial Literacy, College Preparation, Youth Violence Prevention, Healthy Living and more. Students also travel each year to visit colleges and to experience the culture of US cities. Past trips include San Francisco, California; Washington, DC; Atlanta, Georgia; and Orlando, Florida.
